updated details re Raindrop Technique training
Further to my previous email re the training opportunities - there was an error (sorry, my mistake) in the dates and venues section. This email supersedes all previous information.
Please find the details for further Raindrop Technique and Tibetan Reflexology training workshops outlined below, along with a little explanation of each technique, just as a little reminder! Please remember that you do not need to be a qualified Aromatherapist or Reflexologist to attend any of these workshops. They have been designed to suit my particular (informal and relaxed!) method of teaching and are taught over a day and a half, to allow the students time to consolidate the course content and information. Please feel free to pass this email on to anyone you think may be interested. Many people who have attended these workshops before have literally been blown away by the incredible results they are getting with clients, friends and family - much more than they thought possible! The feedback has been inspiring and life changing for many people - both students and their clients. So if you would like to learn an exciting form of Aromatherapy and/or Reflexology this year, just give us a call or drop us an email and get yourself booked on a course.
Raindrop Technique and Tibetan (Vitaflex) Reflexology workshops with Yvonne Jevons CThA:-
Do you have clients, family members or friends with ME, Fybromyalgia, depression, IBS, back pain/sciatica, nervous system problems etc? Then these workshops are for you!
Raindrop Technique is truly incredible and has been developed by Gary Young as a result of inspiration from the traditions of the Lakota Indians. The technique was first brought over to the UK in 2000. It involves dropping neat essential oils directly onto the spinal area, following the French method of application. Feathering movements with the tips of the fingers are used to spread the oil all along the spine and to stimulate nervous system activity. The Vitaflex technique is used to enhance the electrical flow along the nerves of the spinal column and so to all parts of the body. The effects of this treatment can last for up to seven weeks. The key to its success is the use of exceptionally high quality, therapeutic grade essential oils.
Raindrop Technique brings about a balance within physical body, emotional body and spiritual body – in other words, connecting your aura with your physical body to assist you to feel at peace within and release all that is no longer needed to allow personal growth and harmony.
We will cover the properties and cautions of these nine oils; how and why they are applied. It is a hands-on workshop and each person will have the opportunity to give and receive treatment and you can then discover for yourself from the feedback of each person, just how incredible the healing can be with Raindrop Technique.
Tibetan Reflexology is an ancient Tibetan system of healing applied to the feet and lower leg to aid rapid healing. This technique was brought to the fore by Stanley Burroughs in the 1930’s and is used throughout the world. It works in conjunction with the nervous system using the ‘Vitaflex’ (vitality through the reflexes) technique which stimulates and heals the body, mind and spirit at a very deep level. This a great addition to any Reflexologists repertoire. All of the technique or parts of it can be used, at the discretion of the practitioner, depending on what is required for a specific client. A complete Tibetan Reflexology treatment lasts approximately 1 hour, but it can be shortened very easily and so is ideal for use during taster sessions at health fairs etc.
Raindrop Technique and Tibetan Reflexology are recognised and insured by Embody/CThA and IPTI and so CPD points will be awarded by your professional body for attending these workshops.
A little about me! - I qualified in Aromatherapy in 1999. A few months later Raindrop Technique (RDT) was brought to Scotland in 2000 by an extremely knowledgeable and experienced American practitioner called Shellie Earley. I was lucky enough to be one of the people attending that workshop and one of the very first people to be trained in RDT in the UK. I attended the workshop in severe pain from a back injury six weeks previously. I had sciatica to the tips of both big toes and movement was very limited. I received a Raindrop treatment in the afternoon of that first day. The following morning (after my first full nights sleep since the injury), I awoke completely pain free and mobile. Raindrop has featured highly in my practice and tutoring ever since and continues to excite and amaze me 7 years on.
Since qualifying, I have also assisted at numerous Raindrop workshops held in Scotland and England over the years and I am very experienced in this particular field. I also teach Aromatherapy and Reflexology evening classes in Edinburgh and these classes have included Raindrop Technique.
In 2000 I ensured that RDT became recognised and insured by ITEC/Embody (previously IGPP).
Certificates of attendance will be issued at the end of each workshop.
