Who can take this module?
Practitioners of complementary therapies who hold a recognised qualification in anatomy & physiology, and members of the public who are interested in the theory. What will I learn?
A 2-day theory course covering uterine pathologies
 a better understanding of the monthly cycle
 the main hormones which affect the cycle
 the pathologies that can occur when hormones are not in balance (ie fibroids, endometriosis, heavy bleeding)
 fertility problems.What is it?
Abdominal-Sacral Massage brings together many healing techniques to address common female complaints such as painful/irregular periods, ovulation problems, lower back pain, bloating, constipation and cystitis.
It works by bringing the organs of the lower abdomen back into alignment, releasing pressure in the pelvic area, and strengthening the surrounding muscles and ligaments.
This improves blood flow and nerve and lymph functioning, and helps to alleviate chronic conditions such as fibroids, prolapse and PMS.
What are the most common symptoms that are relieved by this treatment? The more common complaints addressed by this technique include:
*Digestive problems *Fertility problems
*Constipation *Pre-menstrual tension

Module 2
Who can take this module?
Practitioners of complementary therapies who hold a recognised qualification in massage and anatomy & physiology (or other professionals who have an equivalent or higher level qualification e.g. physiotherapists).
What will I learn?
A 3-day mostly practical course teaching you how to safely perform the abdominal-sacral massage on yourself and your clients.
 a better understanding of where the abdominal organs are
 how to powerfully integrate deep tissue and visceral techniques along with acupressure and reflexology to facilitate successful and productive bodywork treatment for women
 how to perform sacral massage to aid hip alignment *******
On completion of this module, case histories (4 clients x 4 times) will need to be submitted prior to certification. Full support and advice will be available during this period. (insurance will only be available at practioner level) Module 3 Practioner level - On completion of Module 3 therapists qualify for the Practioner level. This module will consist of a refresher day covering all aspects of techniques and theory followed by an assessment theory and practical. Fully accredited by CThA
