Embody Promotions

I'm interested to know how members have got on with last year's Sainsbury's promotion and the more recent Daily Mirror promotion.

For both those promotions, I've received no calls at all from prospective clients and I wonder if these have worked well for other members.

The promotion that's always worked well for my business has been the Daily Telegraph offers.

Will be interesting to monitor the responses for the Müllerlight promotion.

Look forward to hearing from you. Alison

Hi Alison

Not a single whisper from any EMBODY promotions over the last couple of years except the very first Telegraph 2for1 promotion in which there was a fair bit of interest.

I have identified that it was Mozaic that was the promotions house that was mentioned when discussions arose about EMBODY being paid to give access to its membership for the aborted Asda promotion earlier this year.

It is once again Mozaic that is doing the Muller Light promotion. I am particularly dissapointed and very unhappy that in the Terms and Conditions for the Muller Light promotion, complementary therapies is missed off and reference is only being made to the client in relation to beauty treatments. Perhaps I may have mis-read it though ???

I understand that EMBODY is asking both types of practitioner to get involved and I would hope that EMBODY will ask Mozaic to change the wording to ensure it properly promotes Complementary Therapies.

Complementary Therapists have worked long and hard to differentiate themselves from the highly skilled specialist work that the Beauty Therapists offer and vice versa - some of us may offer both types of skill but they have different target markets and uses. One is a luxury, the other should be marketed and portrayed as complementary to general health and wellbeing.

Many Complementary Therapists are very concerned that their treatments are not portrayed to, or considered by, the public as simply relaxation therapies and innefectual, nice to have, PAMPER or luxury treats. They have true health and wellbeing benefits over and beyond simple relation.

Whilst some people offer both, it would be very sad if EMBODY encourages this type of mis-representation of Complementary Therapies techniques to continue.

Further, as Mozaic is being paid by Muller Light, I would hope that this promotion isd not to be considered as one of the 'paid' promotions that EMBODY therapists who have paid extra for inclusion in promotions are going to be offered. I can not tell if this is the case or not though. Perhaps EMBODY will make this clear for all to see in its reply hereto.

Hi

I entered the promotions last year and received a very good response from the Telegraph promotion. Was very disappointed not to receive one call from either the Sainsbury's or the News of the World promotions.

This year I have decided not to stump up the £20 fee and have not entered into any of the promotions being run so cannot comment on the Daily Mirror - I do hope it is going well for all those therapists that are participating.

Sharon

I also had a good response from both the Daily Telegraph promotions, but have had nothing from the others. I think its because the Daily Telegraph printed a list of therapists so readers did not have to look any further than the list in front of them.
I am suprised that Embody have not asked for any feedback from us, how can they evaluate the success of the promotion?

I have just received this from EMBODY - they are asking therapists to collect the vouchers and send them back. Why when we are not being paid anything for the vouchers- is it because all the other campaigns seem to have been so disasterous and EMBODY wishes to counter those claims ?.

I am however aghast that as this promotion is being run by Mosaic - and will be being paid for by Muller - why is it being taken as the second promotion for which EMBODY members have paid - It is not costing EMBODY anything - indeed, I would even ask, is this like the aborted ASDA promotion through Mosaic - are EMBODY being paid by Mosaic as well as us members ?.

Due to the large number of non-EMBODY promotions with which The H Club has been actively engaged, our therapists have a backlog of clients waiting for an appointment.

We are looking for part-time and full-time therapists who hold their own insurance.

If you are a self-employed therapist wishing to expand your client base or a student about to start up in the next month or so take a look at the following counties and numbers of clients awaiting matching.

These clients won't wait forever. The time window is short - maybe only a week or so as we would need to process your application and ensure you meet our selection criteria.

Contact us asap for more information on TheHClub@Hotmail.com stating your contact details, the address details and postcodes of premises where you work from (or, if mobile how far you wish to travel).

Look at www.TheHClub.org.uk to see how you can gain access to these registered clients.

Once again, I have received an email regarding the next Embody promotion (Daily Express) AFTER it has actually started. If the promotion started on Monday 30th June then why did we not receive notification at the end of last week? Additionally, I can find no mention of this or the Guardian/Observer promotion let alone the Mullerlight campaign on the Embody website and I do not wish to be sent some long 'weblink' address any more than our potential clients do. Details should be on the Embody For You home page or at least have "Promotions" section clearly advertised. It is little wonder that an increasing number of us are having little or no success with these. I have found the response to all of the promotions so far to be very poor despite producing additional local advertising for these campaigns and they have certainly not resulted in much 'new' business. The Daily Mirror voucher was a complete non-starter and so far I have had no response to the Mullerlight voucher although to be fair, the are still a few months before these have to be used and we are going into the peak holiday (i.e. quiet) time.

I have supported the Embody promotions for 2 years now but unless there is a dramatic improvement in response,I will not be subscribing to a third year.

Lynn
