Biz skills workshop - Flying Start
Have you recently qualified and want to start up on your own? Or are you a qualified and experienced therapist keen to find new sources of revenue?
Whatever your situation, this 2-day business planning and marketing skills workshop will explain all aspects of setting up and running your own business. It’s open to anyone thinking of going it alone, whether you want to work in a salon environment, as a mobile therapist or you want to set up a company with growth potential. We’ll help you get your business off to a great start by giving you the essential skills needed to turn your great idea into a profitable business opportunity.
Here are a few of the topics covered in the workshop:
What is a business plan and it’s purpose?
Setting aims and objectives – where are you now and where do you want to be?
Business structure – sole trader, Ltd company, partnerships, Community Interest Company (CIC), social enterprise, not-for-profit organisation, registered charity
Financing your venture – sources of finance for start-ups
Finance – cashflow & profit and loss projections; survival budget; setting your prices
Marketing and Sales – SWOT analysis, finding customers and generating sales
By the end of the workshop you‘ll have the beginnings of a viable business plan and a roadmap to guide you along your small business journey.
All course materials are included and you’ll also receive a CD with all the relevant documents mentioned in the course guide, plus links to online resources. A certificate of attendance will be issued on completion of the course.
