Central & North London Group. Tuesday, 29th Nov, 7-9 pm. BODY ACU-PRESSURE TECHNIQUE

Dear fellow members,

Our 1st guest speaker, Sophy Proctor delivered a fascinating insight into her reading therapy working helping people with mental health issues. She freely shared her experiences and knowledge and advised us to the steps to undertake to obtain external funding if we intend to start our own therapy group to include people in need.

We had amazing attendance, thank you all who came. One of the main topic that emerged from our lively discussion and feedback forms was that ”treatment swaps” is popular. We are going to discuss how we can set up this facility for the group. Do please attend the next meeting if you wish to participate in this event.

TITLE: Body Acu-Pressure Technique
SPEAKER: Liz Xerri

Liz Xerri, has over 20 years experience in therapies such as Reflexology, Deep Tissue Massage and Aromatherapy. Having taught Massage, Reflexology and Anatomy & Physiology for over ten years she has great insight into these fascinating subjects. More recently she has become a NAET practitioner, specialising in identifying and treating food and environmental sensitivities. Liz has a degree in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture and is a member of the British Acupuncture Council. The combination of these skills gives patients the confidence that they are in competent hands and students a chance to share her knowledge

Liz will be demonstrating the use of select acupoints in body work and talking about how these points serve to enhance massage and can be used on musculo skeletal complaints. Using fingers instead of needles, energy or Qi can be released to improve and enhance good health. Clients that she has used these techniques on, say how different and deep the treatment is, often reporting sensations in parts of the body that are not being worked; showing that the channel or meridian has been stimulated and Qi flow is restored.

(PLEASE NOTE: There is a small contribution of £3 to cover the costs of room hire and refreshments)
