South Hertfordshire Invitation – Sunday 4 July 2010
Dear Member -
You are cordially invited to the next meeting of the South Hertfordshire Group of the CThA.

Topic: A Taste of THAI.

TABLE THAI MASSAGE – all the benefits of Thai massage on your treatment couch...

Table Thai massage takes all the benefits of a traditional Thai treatment on to the comfort of your couch. This powerful treatment uses body movement to save wear and tear on you and this taster session will introduce you how dynamic postures and stretches can be used in a therapeutic through-clothes body massage using palming, thumbing, elbows and feet.

THAI FOOT MASSAGE – Leave your clients walking on air with this touch of Thai...

Introducing a vibrant foot treatment from the temples of Thailand, which incorporates pressure points, deep stretches, foot wrapping and Thai foot sticks all in an action-packed treatment. This taster session, offers the perfect introduction to this treatment which can leave your clients with a feeling of balance, relaxation and well-being.

THAI HERB COMPRESS MASSAGE – the essence of Thailand in your treatment room...

The use of fabulous aromatic herbs is really special when combined with heat and deep Thai pressures and stretches. The traditional compresses are detoxifying and energising and their heat is just perfect to ease the tension out of the tightest of muscles. This taster session will give you an insight into this luxurious treatment that clients can’t get enough of.

All Thai treatments employ the principles of deep pressures and stretches to create movement within the body. The main benefits are increased mobility for the client, as tension is released from fascia as well as muscles and improved energy as circulation is increased to all the tissues as a result of reduced tension. They combine this with the use of SEN lines to energise all the body’s systems inside and out. Clients feel alive and invigorated as the Thai methods seek to boost function to all systems. The treatments are superbly detoxifying, as so much waste is released from deep tissues.

She is also qualified in many Thai treatment techniques, which she uses daily in her practice.

Declan Clark, a dedicated, massage therapist, instructor and Inspire director uses his wide range of therapies and long experience to provide the very best possible standards - whether teaching courses for Inspire, or treating his clients. He loves developing the skills of fellow therapists and spares no effort to ensure a great learning experience. Declan is passionate about correct body use within treatments, as it not only ensures the best treatment effects for the client, but also spares the therapist.

Come and join Annalisa and Declan for a session of demonstrations and tasters into what Thai treatments can do for your therapy practice. There will be opportunities to try some of the movements, feel the pressures, experience work on the SEN lines, try out the traditional foot sticks and smell and feel the wonderful herbs. They will be showing you three of the most popular Thai treatments.
