Volunteers - St Michael’s Hospice, Bartestree, Hereford, HR1 4HA
Calling all complementary therapists:
Do you have any time to spare to help the hospice?
St Michael’s hospice was opened in 1984 to serve the population of Hereford and the surrounding counties. The aim of the Hospice is to care for people who have life limiting illness and to support their families, friends and careers.
No charge is made for the services. As a registered charity St Michael’s is reliant on voluntary giving for more than 80% of its income.
Complementary therapies are an important part of the care offered at the hospice. We are only able to offer the free therapies due to the wonderful volunteers who give their time and skills once weekly, fortnightly, or ad hoc.
We are presently in need of more complementary therapist volunteers to help us meet the needs of our patients. As you can imagine this is very worthwhile work. We get to support people through an important life journey, often people who would never access complementary therapies otherwise.
If you are interested in the work we are doing and would like to volunteer do not hesitate to contact the hospice.
