EMM-Tech Short Course

Emm-Tech is a short course in Easy Muscle Management drawn from the Emmett Technique professional course. The Emmett Technique is a system of body work devised by Ross Emmett, an extremely gifted and intuitive practitioner. Visit his Australian based website or the UK site at for more information.

It is a straightforward and easy to learn course, helping you achieve greater flexibility and freedom of movement for yourself, your friends, your relatives, the people you care for, or your clients if you are a body worker or exercise professional.

This course will provide you with 11 moves to simply and effectively release tension and tightness in key muscles to release movement restrictions and ease pain and discomfort. The results are usually immediate – you will be able to see the changes for yourself and after only a short demonstration and practice you will be able to achieve the same kind of results for yourself and others.

10 Releases
SCM - to free up stiff necks.
Pec Minor - for shoulder problems and difficulty reaching the arm behind the body.
Biceps - to release the shoulder when there is a restriction on lifting the arm.
Forearm - will help improve grip strength.
Lat Dorsi - great for addressing lower back tightness and pain.
Diaphragm/Abdominal release - to help open out the ribcage, breathing difficulties and hunched over posture.
ITB - for tight “runners legs”.
ITB / Sartorius - where there is difficulty squatting or going up the stairs; lack of strength in the legs.
Gastroc/calf - for tense, tight and fluid filled calves. Also good for balance and stability.
