To Whom It May Concern

Re: Massage role

I am writing in response to your advertisement on CTha website for a “deep tissue therapist” and enclose my cv.
I have recently completed my ITEC level 3 Certificate in Sports Massage, Diploma in Massage and A&P achieving high grades and I am looking to develop my skill set further in BTEC level 5 in January ‘14.
My experience therefore extends to the extensive practical work over the past 11 months and the various case studies and treatments submitted in the course work. During this course, which was taught by a level 5 tutor, I also gained skills in MET, STR, trigger point and postural assessment and not just limited to deep tissue, sports related or holistic massage movements. I really enjoyed the deep tissue / sports side and relish the chance to develop the remedial aspects that could also benefit your treatment list.

I am happy to fit in as and when required with a very flexible schedule which can include weekends, early mornings and evenings as I wish to gain experience and develop my skill set further. I am an articulate, hard working, open minded self starter, happy to work as part of a team and I believe that my skill set lends itself to the demands of the role envisaged here.
I am registered as self employed with HM Inland Revenue and have also just applied for full membership of FHT and insurance for my therapies. I also have good software skills in the various Microsoft products including excel / word / powerpoint / outlook.

I would welcome the opportunity to discuss the role or any of my details further should you so wish and can be reached on 07960483897 or 02072217702. I live in the Westbourne Grove area of W2 in central London.

Yours sincerely,

Peter Bellami-Smith

In 2012 as a career change, I enrolled in several ITEC level 3 courses including the certificate in sports massage, A&P and the diploma in massage completing these in July 2013 and achieving high grades.
My massage practical experience extends to the past 11 months on the various courses and my 100% attendance and participation. This involved extensive practical work in every class over this period as well as the numerous case studies and treatments submitted and some treatments since qualification. I also have an ongoing treatment log for this period.
I very much enjoyed the various courses, particularly the sports side and the beginnings of remedial work. During this course, which was taught by a known level 5 tutor, I also gained skills in MET, STR, trigger point and postural assessment and not just limited to deep tissue or sports related massage movements. I found that the sports side offered much more in the way of variety, treatment and assessment than holistic massage although the latter gave me a fantastic grounding in the routines, general massage techniques and massaging to time constraints.

Keen to further the sports & remedial side, I have enrolled in the Level 5 bridging programme at the School of Natural Therapies here in London. I am also interested in completing several CPD style courses in the coming months in acupressure, prenatal and lymphatic drainage however I am yet to decide on the school for these.

I would be happy to fit in with a very flexible schedule which includes weekends, early mornings and evenings as I wish to gain experience and develop my skill set further.
I am registered as self employed with HM Inland Revenue and have full membership of CThA and insurance for my therapies.

I am a hard working, open minded self starter, happy to work as part of a team whilst my skill set lends itself to a variety of roles.
I also have good skills in various software products including Microsoft excel / word / powerpoint / outlook.

I have worked most of my career in financial services and more recently with property refurbishment and investment. I can happily provide you with an extensive working history with references however you may think his will be largely irrelevant to your requirements. Massage related references are as follows;

Mr. Trevor Gorard, MISRM, McThA, Sports tutor at KAE, SNT & others 0330 1239135
Ms. Melanie Dean, LMT, holistic massage tutor at KAE & others 07278151640
Ms Vanda Cox, Broadstone, client 02078933076
