Looking After Ourselves
A Course for Body Workers based on the principles of Alexander Technique
Why is it that doing what we love to do as Body Workers can sometimes leave us exhausted, achey and drained? It is often all too easy to put our clients first at the expense of ourselves.
The workshop will cover the following:
• Reducing aches and pains: how to be comfortable in our bodies whilst giving a treatment, including how to bend or sit with ease when working at a couch
• Reducing fatigue: how to use appropriate effort
• Enhancing our contact: how our hands are a mirror of our state and how we can keep ourselves “clear” and balanced to enhance our work
Rachel Stevens is an experienced practitioner of the Alexander Technique which she has taught to individuals and groups for 20 years. She has also trained in a number of other disciplines including Reiki, Body Harmony and Healing.

EFT – A Window to your Palace of Possibilities
EFT is a new discovery that has provided thousands with relief from pain, diseases and emotional issues. Simply stated, it is a unique version of acupuncture except you don't use needles. Instead, you stimulate well established energy meridian points on your body by tapping on them with your fingertips. The process is easy to memorize and is portable so you can do it anywhere. It launches off the EFT Discovery Statement which says...
"The cause of all negative emotions is a disruption in the body's energy system."
And because our physical pains and diseases are so obviously connected with our emotions the following statement has also proven to be true...
"Our unresolved negative emotions are major contributors to most physical pains and diseases."
This half day workshop gives you the opportunity to have real hands on experience of this gentle technique. EFT offers promise for just about every emotional or physical issue you can name ..., so come along and see how useful this can be for your own issues and in your therapy practice.

Gill Bright is an experience practitioner of the Emotional Freedom Technique which she has taught to groups and individuals for several years. She is also an experienced therapist of Reflexology, Indian Head Massage and the Bowen Technique.
