Central & North London Group, Sunday 24th March, 3-5 pm. Tsuboki Japanese Face Massage

Dear Therapists,

I do hope you all are keeping warm in this somewhat chilly weather but console yourselves that Spring is coming…. My apologies for the change of date but the venue could not accommodate us on the 17th March.

We had the feet, now the face! Another blissful treatment to experience. Again, treats are in store as we will be learning through giving and receiving taster sessions with each other. We therefore require massage couches so if any members are driving and could bring a couch + cover, do please let me know. Your effort will be very much appreciated by the group.

Re: Francesca’s project. She has informed me that it is in BARNET, not Brent Please contact her at for more information.

TOPIC: Tsuboki® Japanese Face Massage
SPEAKER: Anne Parry

Tsuboki® Japanese Face Massage is a wonderfully relaxing yet energising treatment.
Clients love it because it is easily accessible, yet feels like a full body massage. It balances the whole person and is a natural facelift. For therapists, it is the opportunity to offer your clients something different, and it is a treatment that is gentle on the hands and wrists – and can be performed sitting down! After massaging the neck and the face with an appropriate oil, we work on over 50 tsubos (acupressure points) and 8 meridians on the face before finishing with some simple lymphatic drainage techniques.

Tsuboki® was developed by Anne Parry who has over 30 years of experience in the field of massage and bodywork, She is the only tutor of Tsuboki Face, Foot, and Hand Massage.

Anne read Modern Languages at Cambridge University before beginning her massage career in California, qualifying in Swedish and Shiatsu massage in 1981. Meridian theory has always been present in her work, from Touch for Health through Shiatsu and Seated Acupressure Massage, so when developing a new style of face massage, it was natural that she should direct her attention here.
She has a home based clinic where she provides massage to private clients, drawing on the many different styles of bodywork she has studied over the years, and provides an on-site seated acupressure massage service to several local companies. She was a trainer with the No Hands Massage Company for several years, is a tutor for the Academy of On-Site Massage, and also runs several of her own courses throughout the country. She also teaches complementary therapy courses at a local community college, circle dance, laughter yoga, and baby massage.

You can read more at, including testimonials from previous students.

We will learn:
* A useful oil-free technique for loosening tight neck muscles
* A traditional Japanese face massage stroke
* The facelift acupressure point that is called "Facial Beauty"

(PLEASE NOTE: There is a small contribution of £3 to cover the costs of room hire and refreshments)
