Antenatal weekend where pregnant mothers and partners learn Reiki
Pregnant? Pregnant partner? Now there's an antenatal weekend where you learn to practise Reiki...
How easy is it for dads and female partner mums to feel involved and useful in their partner's pregnancy and birth? How can they meet their need and the mother's need to DO something helpful.
How many men and women partners have paced around, anxiously, not knowing what to do? How easy is it for them to feel excluded, rejected and traumatised after birth? What impact does this have on family life and bonding to the baby and mother, and dealing with changing relationships? This is one of the inspirations behind a unique new approach to antenatal preparation using the simple, effective, practice of Reiki.
Cocooned in a country house retreat in 75 acres of beautiful Kentish countryside, parents learn useful and essential antenatal education. What is different is that they will also learn to practise Reiki, a natural hands-on healing technique, weaving the two together seamlessly. At last dads and female partners will have something they can usefully do before the birth, during the birth and after the birth, because Reiki is proven to reduce stress, reduce anxiety and depression and increase feelings of wellbeing. Mums and partners can use Reiki to stay calm before during and after the birth, and to really feel connected to the baby, even before it's born. What a way to improve the experience of pregnancy, birth and parenting. They will also learn how to give themselves a self-treatment, so partners and expectant mums can stay relaxed and feeling in a calm place. All the evidence shows that effective support from a person the the labouring mother knows and trusts gives better birth outcomes.
People from all backgrounds and ages practise Reiki - it's simple and doesn't require anything except the willingness to do it and the courage to go for it!
