Cancer and Palliative Care for Complementary Therapists

We still have some availability on our annual coourse Cancer and palliative care for complementary therapists, which is being held on 18 June 2013, 9.30 - 16.00 at St Christopher's Hospice. Topics will include: cancer and the cancer journey the palliative care approach communication issues adaptation of complementary therapies self-care for the therapist. Who should attend? This course will be suitable for any qualified or student therapist seeking information about treating people with cancer. The day will cover complementary therapies such as massage, aromatherapy and reflexology. The day will be of particular interest to: Reflexologists Aromatherapists Massage therapists Student complementary therapists Volunteers in palliative care settings Please note that lunch is not provided and must be brought with you on the day. This day offers an introduction to adapting therapies to the cancer and palliative care setting. Please note there is no practical element included on the day. However, follow up additional days are offered.
