CPD 1 Day Course - Hygiene, Infection Prevention & Infection Control for Complementary Therapists
These may seem very conventional topics for complementary therapists, however this course is being offered at a vital time of recent & future change which may impact on the locations in which you practise your therapy.
This CPD course, which is approved by the CThA & awards 5 CPD credits, is especially valuable for therapists who work within conventional healthcare environments & to protect yourself from potential infections. Due to the changes to regulations/legislation affecting all Hospices, NHS hospitals & care environments, GP practices, Private Hospitals, some clinics & any organisation registered with the care quality commission, it is vital those who work within these environments/premises have received a good level of education and training in relation to hygiene & infection prevention/control (IPC) & that you as a therapist has an updated hygiene & IPC policy should this be requested.
Those who practice independently or solely in complementary health environments can also benefit as attendance on this course widens your sphere of knowledge on these subjects as well as increasing your CPD points & portfolio.
All CThA members receive a Free gift bag of hand hygiene & related products.
You must be a complementary therapist (in any discipline) to attend this course.
The next course is on 14th October 2010, followed by 30th October with subsequent courses available twice a month (on either a Thursday, Friday or Saturday). The venue for all courses is The Boardroom at the Jerwood DanceHouse in Ipswich, Suffolk. If you would like to arrange a course in your area, call or email me.
