This one day, award winning, CThA approved course has been developed to help you confidently learn how to offer massage & nurturing touch to people who have dementia.
With the number of people being diagnosed with dementia on the increase, this course is designed to springboard you confidently & competently into this field of work. You will learn skills to enter the world of your client on their terms & learn techniques to help address common issues experienced by those who have dementia. As well as specialist massage techniques & approaches, we will discuss what is dementia, dementia & the brain, permission & touch, client history, contra-indications, contracts, legal aspects & caring for yourself.
