New EFT Practitioners' Mentoring Group starting in Edinburgh

First meeting Saturday 14th April 2012, 1-4pm. 13 Smith's Place, Edinburgh. Next meeting Saturday 9th June. This group is open to all EFT practitioners. Facilitated by myself and advanced practitioner Francisca Morton, the group will allow practitioners to share their EFT work and challenges in a supportive environment and will provide a platform for Continuing Professional Development. For those who are members of the AAMET, three of these sessions will cover a year's mentoring requirement. The group will be entirely focused on working with EFT, and where other disciplines or techniques are brought in, it will be with a focus on how they might be used in EFT work. Our plan is to have a talk by one of the group members in the first half of the meeting on a particular way of using EFT, followed by a demonstration and time to practise using the technique in triads. After a break, in the second half, we will be doing various activities, from borrowing benefits to working 'stuck' cases, to sharing and discussing articles of interest on using EFT. We very much hope that all group members will want to present at some point (and will offer some group tapping on presentation nerves to help any who don't feel confident to do so). In the first meeting, Francisca, who is a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist as well as an EFT practitioner, will be demonstrating some CBT techniques we can use in conjunction with EFT. We would be grateful if everyone could bring an article (however short) on using EFT (for example, from the www.eftuniverse.com site) that has sparked their interest, for sharing in the second half. Please let us know if you plan to attend, so that we have an idea of how many to expect. Also, if you have a suggestion for a future presentation topic, or any questions about the group, please contact me. We look forward to working with you.
