The Gentle Dying Method
A one day certificated course fee: £95 includes course notes and lunch
The Gentle Dying Method is a new approach to helping people to die well. It explores simple, effective, non-invasive, safe physical, emotional and psycho-spiritual ways to enhance the dying experience for patients and their carers. Techniques include breathing exercises, visualisation, working with touch, sound, colour and smell to ease the process of dying for both patients and carers. It draws on the traditional idea of keeping a vigil, a mindful and compassionate watch over those in the final stages of life to enable the final stages of life to be a rich and positive experience. The Gentle Dying Method can be used in hospitals, care homes and hospices as well as for carers looking after patients at home.
