VOLUNTEER MASSAGE THERAPIST REQUIRED FOR CHARITY BASED IN GP CLINIC
Would you like the opportunity to share your skills massaging in a GP setting?
Hands Inc is a registered charity established to help tackle health inequalities amongst those in society that experience social and economic disadvantages. We deliver a range of health and wellbeing services to help improve access to holistic health services.
We currently run three complementary therapy clinics delivering acupuncture and massage. Our clinics are based in two busy NHS Health Centres in Hackney. The clinics operate a self referral system, however we do also receive referrals from GPS and other health professional.
We are looking for a qualified Volunteer Therapists who can provide massage in our weekly Friday clinic between 10-4.30pm. If you have any other added treatments that would be a bonus for example reflexology, deep tissue or aromatherapy. We pay expenses however the therapist should be within easily commutable distance of Hackney.

What we expect
Weekly commitment to volunteer at the Clinic
A minimum of 1 year voluntary commitment, there are a few 6 months opportunities
Professionalism in attitude, approach and quality of service delivery
Attendance at supervision, practice meetings or training
Professionally qualified and membership to a professional body
Excellent time keeping
Courteous and empathetic attitude towards clients
Carry out administrative tasks related to the service provided ie, client screening and monitoring
Ability to work in isolation and as part of a team
