Area meeting 09 September 2010

Giuseppe - thank you so much for hosting the meeting. It was great to meet so many of "us" - you're right, there is a wealth of talent in our area and I'm looking forward to hearing more about what each of us specialises in. It's a great idea for us all to pull together and show people what "the professionals" can do!
Best wishes to all
Chris Macklen
Many thanks to Giuseppe Tomaselli (and his wonderful wife) for their commitment and kindness last Friday evening. I cannot believe we covered so much ground in such a small space of time. The heat almost beat us but it was a very good meeting and an exchange of ideas and to meet new therapists was extremely refreshing. Many thanks. YVONNE WEBB -Bexleyheath.
It sounds like you had a great meeting and lots of good ideas i am sorry i could not attend but look forward to coming to the next one

Sorry I couldn't make it (but being a massive Formula 1 fan and being given free tickets....how could I not go?!!)
It sounds like some fab ideas were mooted and I would be interested in participating. I've put the date of the next one in my diary and look forward to meeting you all then.
Judith
Hi sorry I was unable to make the meeting it was a bit short notice for me. It sounds like I missed a good meeting though and being a new therapist all ideas opinions etc are invaluable so Im hoping to make the next one (ive pencilled it in!)and I would be very interested in participating in the regular monthly events. I look forward to meeting you soon. Vanessa Pickett
Thankyou Guiseppe for organising the first meeting, it was good to feel part of an organisation and hopefully we can all learn from and support each other.

This sounds very interesting. I have to say from my experience re doing a "show" like that: I once took part in the Allergy Show at Earls Court, with an Allergy Reduction/Elimination technique I use called NAET. I thought I would get lots of new clients but I didn't get a single one!! And it was similarly expensive. So beware! I would be interested in the open evening idea though!
Thank you for all your kind and usefull comments.
I hope to have some information on the cost of hiring the various venues by the end of week.
I will post them on the forum for all to decide which is beleived to be the most cost effective and to which and whom members would like to take part.
Please post any esperience you have of similar events so that we can all lern from them
Regards,
Giuseppe
Hi Guiseppe
I would like to thank you for taking up the position of Co-ordinator - we have not had group meetings for quite some time now and the support these meetings gives is invaluable.
I have made an enquiry as to the cost of Hextable Heritage Centre which is where I hold my courses. It is a large light airy room with kitchen facilities and will cost £8 per hour. I would suggest 2 1/2 hours to include set up/clear away time, so it would cost £20 per evening if we meet between 6.30 - 8.30 pm. Hope this is of interest.
Kind regards
TANIA
Where abouts is Hextable? (sorry, showing my ignorance here)...
http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=hextable&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Hextable,+Swanley,+United+Kingdom&gl=uk&ei=-Sw-TLvqENW7jAeYmrz4Aw&ved=0CBkQ8gEwAA&ll=51.420406,0.245819&spn=0.086281,0.219383&z=12
It is equidistat between Sawnley (North of), Wilmigton (South of) and M25 (East of)

Thanks Giuseppe.I can see where it is now. I would be interested in an event of this kind but only if people coming would be from my catchment area which is central London...
Dear Janna,
Sorry, but the nearest venue to Central London would be Blackheath Concert Hall, if the members decide to go for that venue.
The events are for members operating in North Kent and South East London.
Therefore, would not be appropiate to have an event in Central London.
Best regards,
Giuseppe
Thanks, Giuseppe. Blackheath would be fine for me. I am theoretically in South East London - but only just - it is SE1 which is pretty central. But people do sometimes come from the South East more.
Dear Janna,
Thank you for your clarification. You are, geograficaly, in a fantastic position as we can attract customers from diggerent areas.
Please remember that we are all invited to attend meetings and events in other areas in Greater London.
As I wrote in my last message. I will be getting all the costing of the various venues and publish them on the forum.
All members taking part will be able to vote for the most suitable venue and type of event.
I am only co-ordinating and make sure that, what is desired by the member, will actualy take place.
Best regards,
Giuseppe
Hi Giuseppe!
I am really interested in getting involved in these events! I live 5 minutes walk from Bluewater, can drive and all my equiptment is mobile!
When are we thinking??
Thanks
Nicole
Dear Nicole,
I hope to be able to post all the information by the end of next week. At the moment I am trying to get the hiring of the premises a bit cheaper.
The dates for the event/s and the format, can either be discussed at the next meeting (on the 10th of September) or on this page.
In any case at the event/s we will be giving out leaflets with the contributers names and therapies offered and we will also be selling gift vouchers (we will have to discuss if this will have the name of the therapist selling it (in which case the money goes to him/her and so the printing cost)or it can be used for all therapists taking part in the promotion (in which case the profits will be shared). In addition, as already mentioned, we will offer a 15 minutes introduction at £10.00
Best regards,
Giuseppe
Hi everyone
I too am based in se1 and therefore more central london than south east blackheath would be good
Thanks
Abi
I'm based a 20min walk from Blackheath - so wouldn't complain! But happy to travel if cost is an issue...
Looking forward to meeting you all
Judith
