Group treatment co-operative/circle
Hello everyone, was wondering if any of you would be interested in setting up a treatment co-operative within the Caledonian Group? Not sure exactly how we could work it but basically each member would have vouchers which they could exchange for treatments from members of the co-operative. There would be no money changing hands. I thought it would be a nice way to meet other members and make sure that we are looking after our own well being as well as our clients. What do you think?

Hi Ruth
Im up for that. Let me know how you get on. Thanks
That sounds good to me. We forget about our own wellbeing.
Hi Ruth
Would be happy in principle. I practise mainly Shiatsu - however a bit out in the sticks in West Kilbride. Keep me informed what others think.
Best Wishes

Dear Ruth, that's a great idea.
I moved up to scotland a year ago from London, so have lost my circle of massage buddies.
Please inform me of future developments.

Lovely to hear from you all. I'll have a think over the weekend about how we can work this and try and post message next week. If anyone has any experience of this type of thing or any ideas please feel free to get in touch.

Dear Ruth, I have a little experience ,in that on leaving college a few years ago I stayed in touch with fellow ex-students and we'd organise swaps at each other's places / treatment centres, and I have indeed treated a couple of ex-collegues since arriving in Glasgow, with them paying the room fee, with a view to me doing the same when I go back down south. That way I could book them in and see them, without the nuisance of returning home tired and having to do more massage when I wasn't necessarily into it.
I do have many ideas, but don't know how far afield the caledonian boundaries are, and am in the process of doing driving lessons again, so am reliant on public transport or a lift until I pass my test ( soon ).
Time and place seem to be the main issues.
I guess you could get a rota of availability, the therapies on offer, and take it from there.
Hope this was understandable.
Looking forward to being able to give and recieve regular massages with fellow therapists, and to be able to dicuss treatments too.
Yours
Barney
Hi Ruth,
I like the sound of this idea. I would like the opportunity to give and receive treatments.
Let me know of any developments.
Hi everyone,
I think the best way forward is if I compile a register of everyone wishing to take part. Please e-mail me your name, contact details and therapies that you practise. If everyone agreed we could issue say 4 vouchers to all members. I know that distance and travel time may be an issue for some people,. Perhaps it would be fair to say that a treatment given in the therapists home/practice "costs" one voucher and that a home visit costs 2?
Lets get the list together first and then we can iron out how we are going to work it. Once the list is together I can set up an e-mail list and send it to all members.
