Introduce yourself?

I'd like to suggest that co-ordinators make an introductory post on their own local group forum to generally introduce themselves, and make contact with their local members. There have already been some threads in the Central London, Caledonian and North Wiltshire forums, but not elsewhere... Subscriptions have been generated so that email notifications are posted to members of the local group when a new thread starts. If you are not quite sure what this is all about or are confused, post here and I will try to clarify! Also post here if you have any suggestions for how local groups are run etc. Best regards, George Barwood Embody Web Admin

Hello Audrey, The Northamptonshire local group forum is at http://www.embody.uk.net/members/forums/?b=99 It would be good for you to post there - ideally some information for members in your area, or ask them what they liked about previous meetings, what they would like for future meetings, any local news... I'm sure you will get the idea quite quickly, even if it seems a little unfamiliar at first. George

Hello everyone, My name is liz Phillips i am Bistol and Bath coordinator. I am an Aromatherapist and also practice IHM. I treat people living with HIV and Adults with learning difficulties as well as having a private practice from my home. I am still a RGN at my local hospital once a week and would very much like to work as a therapist in hospital on a regular basis. Is there any coordinators that are nurses and practice in hospital.? I must admit i like the mixture of the 2 jobs but very soon something is gonna have to give. When the south west corodinators meet last month we commented on the difficulties of attracting members to meetings. I find that good weather was the only sure thing to guarntee a good turn out. I also find it hard to judge what will attract them and I am often surprised when more than 10 come along to something that i think will not go down very well. If any of you have more than 15 on a regular basis(ecept for Jon that is), Whats your secret.?! The southwest region were also talking about holding a seminar in our region is anyone else doing that.? We have been intouch via email we exchanged at our meeting is anyone else doing that.? Anyway enogh of this chat i hope someone posts back i would love to hear about you. Bye for now Liz

Hi Everyone, As promised I would reply after my holiday. INTRODUCTION:_ My name is Audrey Poulton. Retired Midwife atfer 23yrs within the NHS. Before retiring I obtained my Holistic Massage+ Dip. in Aromatherapy. I am an Aromatherapist, both with ITEC Qualifications and Full Member of the International Federation of Aromatherapist. I am also qualified as a Reflexologist. I have been a member of St. John Ambulance for many years. Current Post County Nursing Officier. Involved with all units in Northamptonshire. Training and Assessing First Aid. I am also an ABC Moderator which I enjoy very much, meeting new students in Complementary Therapy. Our Northamptonshire Co-Ordinators Group had teething problems at first, finding the right venue, right night and area for everyone interested to attend. I feel it is so important for newly qualified therapist to have a network of support. Our next meeting now will take place in the New Year the last Wednesday of January, 2006. Well Keep in touch. Yours hopefully Audrey.
