Hot stone massage
Hi
I've been looking at doing some 1 day workshops; in particular, hot stone massage. I am already a fully qualified massage therapist.
Would I be qualified to carry out treatments following a 1 day workshop if accredited by CThA?
Thanks in advance
Rachael

You'd have to check directly with CTha to see if they'll cover you. However I personally feel that you need more than 1 day to learn hot stone massage even if you are already a qualified massage therapist. You need to get used to working with the stones and how to use them properly.
Hot stones are a nice alternative for a Swedish/holistic massage, but from a business point of view is very démodé.
Go for the day course and have fun with it, then establish weather or not you wish to invest in it.
Hi,
I did a 6 day Hot Stone training with Jing Massage in the Brighton Area, It was 3 days with a break to do a few case studies and then return for 3 days, that was 2005.
