Rules about oils - confusion!

Hi All, I work in a hotel that was previously twinned with a brand that used specific oils with a variety of different ingredients. We were trained in specific therapies by that brand and advised that even though we weren't aromatherapists, we would be allowed to use the oils. We are no longer with that brand, but still have some of the oils left over. Are we permitted to use those in treatments going forward? The FHT states in their ask an expert that reputable oils from reputable brands should be okay to use for non-aromatherapists, with additional care over contra-indications, whereas the IFA simply states that you can't use them. Any thoughts on who is more or less right please? Thanks, all the best! James

I am a therapist and as I understand it, the brand would be liable for any issues of liability as you are using them through the spa however if you are no longer working with that brand you would carry the liability. check with your insurer as some are ok with you using pre blended oils whereas others want you to have aromatherapy certification.
