changes to meetings

Hi all Unfortunately other than ourselves noone made Sunday's meeting Starbucks now have a policy that 8-10 regular attendees are required and therefore we are essentially forced to move, since we rarely get that number. Essentially they loose 12 seats by closing the room so we cost them money if we are not meeting the number! August historically has been very quiet so we will again this year scrap meetings until September. we will move to Southside in September, no coffee purchase required - free tea, coffee and herb teas there, but we will ask for a couple of quid instead towards the room cost, since we will be paying for it personally. By moving to Southside we should benefit from additional diploma course and other training course students and add to our numbers. We also are thinking of a little bit later - say 1-3? Again last sunday of the month? Comments and feedback welcome. Please give any ideas over the next few weeks, and then we will firm up dates ready for the end of september. Cheers Stuart

Hi Stuart and Denise. I hope you got my email in advance to say that I couldn't attend yesterday's meeting. We're on holiday last week in Aug anyway so couldn't make that one. 1-3 pm is fine with me and Southside is good for Sun 29 Sept. No probs to share the cost of the room hire for our meeting too. Will get definite directions before then, thanks Susan
Hi Kate That is very generous, the only thing is a few of us were hoping for a later time on Sundays, hence the idea of the afternoon. Perhaps we might be able to look at two different meetings in the future, since historically many people have been unable to make one set time. Perhaps two different weekends in two differences and times might enable more attendance. Cheers stuart

Sorry I couldn't make the meeting, I was working. If there is a time change I would actually prefer to meet earlier so the possibility of different times, different months would be great. Thanks for all the work you and Denise do for us. Jo

Hi Stuart and Denise, Sorry I didn't manage to come to the meeting on sunday. I was away for the weekend. The new venue is good with me and later time fine too. It would be better for training courses or swopping therapies. We talked about this at the meeting last month.I hope the numbers will pick up as you work hard to keep the meetings going. Joyce
Hi all Many thanks for the feedback, it sounds as if a regular later meeting at south side, with perhaps something like 1 in 3 at Neales Yard at an earlier time might just enable people who can not make the old time to attend? We could even have the Neales Yard variant, and the odd other time at SouthSide every now and again. Could people give an idea of times they might like other than a regular say 2-4 at Southside (Sunday) How early would we need an alternative to be (and what is possible at Neales Yard?) ? Those who just simply can not do Sundays, what sort of time in the week might be possible at South Side, or informally at a coffee shop once every few months? Thank you again for the feedback, and offers of support! Cheers Stuart
Hi Thanks again for feedback, keep it coming! Thanks to Kate at Neales Yard we may be able to do: 11- 12.30 most of the year with perhaps 10- 11.30 Festival & December period. So how about..... 2-4 usually @ South Side, again last Sunday of the Month Every, say 3rd Month at Neales Yard instead? The earlier time might help some people attend And some coffee chats at a coffee shop meeting informally for support in the week, perhaps once every month or so... feedback as to good days would be appreciated. This might enable people unable to do Sunday's at all. Cheers Stuart

Hi Stuart 2-4pm at South Side last Sunday in the month is fine for me. Although I can't make 25 August as I'm on holiday that week. Happy to go with earlier time at Neal's Yard (nice venue) every so often on Sundays too. As I'm happy to attend on Sundays, and as I teach fitness classes some evenings, I'd prefer to keep it to Sundays for me anyway. Will see everyone on last Sunday in Sept. cheers SUSAN

Hi Stuart, I'm hoping to make some of the meetings in the future as I free up some time. Could you please let me know the address of 'Southside' so that I can attend. I'll keep a look out for your bulletins Thank you for keeping this group alive on behalf of CThA. best wishes Jacqui Riegel
Hi Jaq and everyone else The main base is going to be SouthSide Centre, 1st Floor South Side Centre, Edinburgh We are very lucky that our friends in the local Neales Yard are helping us to have alternative times as well. We can also meet in starbucks in town or the Himalayan cafe, if you you need individual support, just arrange a time we can both meet and have a chat, no problem, no cost (other than your drink lol) Guys We need to be more efficient soon, from October we are running a new professional course, so really, we need people to be as heads up as possible, new people means more input, better for everyone, however PLEASE tell us with warning your needs. It really is going to be a bit more "tell us what you need". This in no way means we are reducing our dedication, but because of other work issues, we really need you to tell us what we need! Cheers Stuart and Denise
Address for South Side South Side Centre 1st Floor 86 Causewayside Edinburgh Eh9 1PY 0131 667 5251 And of course don't forget it is a nice place to work with very reasonable room rates as well!

Great, thanks for the address Stuart - I wasn't sure exactly where the South Side Centre was. I'll be there for the September meeting and looking forward to seeing our new premises.
