Local online Directory

Hi I was thinking - as well as obviously organising the local group meetings etc, whether there would be interest in setting up an online local directory of local members - a small website if you like - each member having a page - all linked and submitted to search engines. it is pretty straight forward to set up such a site - I have space on at least one of my online sites to have a separate section - or we could get a new one.... a cheap domain name and a few mins work and I already have professional search engine submission software... if we have a grouping like that we can approach organisations such as PURE GYM with discount offers etc and have them promote us (free) to their members.... and clients can take a read through all the professionals we have to offer.... The format could be simply a site with the title... e.g. "CTHA registered Therapists in Edinburgh & the Lothians". perhaps an Alphabetical listing of: therapists, name, therapies offered, city location e.g. Stuart Morgan-Ayrs. Counselling, Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy, Life Coaching, Anger Management. Edinburgh, Glasgow, Falkirk Each one with a link to a dedicated page with details submitted by the member, and a link to their main site and or email etc. I have something similar running for another professional body nationally...the SHTC: www.therapistregister.co.uk Do let me know if you are interested - generally local directories of experts can be good for local google rankings! Cheers Stuart

just also thinking - a link on each member's profile page to their CTHA main profile would also be good - then it would be linked to the CTHA's verification of insurance etc online!

Dear Stuart, Many thanks for this. Unfortunately due to pressure of work with my Masters, and consequently cutting back on my therapies work, I'm not going to be able to take part in the local group at the moment. Wishing you and the others all the very best with this in 2012. Fiona

great idea I am interested. Also plan to be at first meeting on 29th. Thanks for organising
I will have a think about the information we need to get together and perhaps we can look at collecting it after our first meeting. If it can be emailed to me then I can cut and past it - saving a lot of work! Cheers Stuart
