Pre launch meetings in Edinburgh for new City Group

A new local group will be officially launching in the next couple of months in Edinburgh. Prior to the official launch we are looking to get informal meetings started in the Starbucks in Stock-bridge, Edinburgh where there is a meeting space available. This would be a chance for everyone to get together and discuss needs, goals and objectives, and simply get to know each other. Initially can people in the Edinburgh region answer this post, and we can see if there is a time we can all make fairly regularly, and which Starbucks can assist us with. Initially we are looking at an informal meeting once a month, with later post launch formal training and CPD days, probably at the Salisbury centre 5 times a year. Stuart and Denise, who will be facilitating, can be contacted on enquiry@scotlandtherapy.co.uk

I would be interested in coming along, would be good to get the Edinburgh and Lothians group up and running again. Thanks!
Hi everyone Many thanks for all the replies Can everyone suggest good days..... (I know one or 2 people did already) I can then cross reference with Starbucks to get a regular slot for a free meeting. That would mean no begging for contributions towards the cost of hiring a room :) The plan is to get the regular coffee meet monthly - either on the same day or perhaps alternating between 2 days for maximum attendance. Once all the paperwork comes through to officially confirm the new group, we will organize the 5 CPD meetings per year as well - which may require a small contribution. These will follow CTHA requirements and will have a letter of attendance provided for everyone's records. If we use the library at Salisbury - I estimate £2 each with 5 attending to cover the £10? Nothing bank breaking! Once we have a regular group going, we will look to get students at local colleges and other practitioners involved, partly as recruitment for CTHA, and partly in all our interests to share expertise. hopefully the regular meetings will also develop into opportunities for peer supervision groups as well - a lot cheaper than other supervision methods and can still be properly organised. Do invite me or Denise (we will be co-ordinating together) on facebook denise scotlandtherapy Stuart scotlandtherapy and feel free to email me on stuart@scotlandtherapy.co.uk From the new year I will be trying to log on here once a week minimum to pick up replies, and all group business should be via the forum so that Head Office and Scotland area reps can join in, monitor and comment. Happy New Year to you all and looking forward to getting started in the next few weeks :) Cheers Stuart
