Summary of meeting 15th March
Hi all
Basic summary:
1. Discussed closure of Salisbury from July. All members reflected on how sad this was. One member noted she only knew via this forum, and had not been notified. Abbey Mount was discussed. General consensus was that a lot of work was needed to Abbey Mount before it reached the same sort of standard of presentation as Salisbury, although the upper hall was of interest for groups.
2. We discussed letting people we know inside and outside of CTHA about Salisbury in case they were not informed.
3. We discussed training. I (Stuart) will post a thread with proposed rough dates for three training times, firstly IT, at Starbucks at usual meeting time for May, then a training walk July / August as suggested by Moira, then a training session in Mid-Late Sept at venue tbc, and a training / Xmas party meeting near Xmas.
4. I (Stuart) will think about whether there are any problems with families coming on the herbal walk, as long as parents take sole charge and responsibility for any little folk with them, possible disclaimers etc needed and look into any liabilities.
5. Ongoing worry of Advertising Standards. Complaints letter discussed and options bounced around regarding research evidence. Various of us discussed what we can do to look into this further. I will wait for sample wording and will then approach HQ regarding seeking advice and guidance. General consensus that we need Embody to help and advise us here.
6. Therapy Swaps - a new thread will begin with OFFERED therapy for swaps, then individual therapists can email the provider direct to negotiate in private off-list.
7. Supervision - mental and physical peer supervision groups to be look into via the forum in first instance.
Attendees, please reply with anything I missed :)
Cheers
Stuart
