testimonials
Hi all
Thank you to everyone able to attend on the weekend, I will process certs of attendance shortly.
One issue that we raised in our chat was the possibility of pooling testimonials.
It occurred to the group that many of us have ourselves received forms of therapy and can write genuine testimonials as to the fact that the therapy may have been beneficial for various problems. Even where ASA prohibit advertising helping a condition, there is nothing stopping you listing and quoting testimonials about that condition from a recipient.
What would be great is if we can have local testimonials for therapies for conditions, and then pool them for us to all use. We could then say that the therapy was received by a CTHA therapist in Edinburgh and Lothians, a colleague in other words.
What does everyone think?
Cheers

Excellent idea, it isn't advertising but a genuine testimonial. I suppose those doubters would suggest these may be 'made up', but you can't convince everyone. I do think this is worth a try as it is great to have word of mouth recommendations from the positive outcomes for clients and the wonderful effects that our therapies have on their every day lives.

As long as we are all giving testimonials for therapy we have actually received then it is genuine, and we can keep a portfolio to show ASA if asked.
It sounds a really great idea to me. People like to read testimonials - to hear other people's point of view and make decisions based on that.
Sorry I couldn't make the meeting on Sunday.
