voucher therapy swaps
Many thanks to the small group who made Sunday.
One of the ideas to come out of the day was that we could get a list of therapists together willing to do therapy swaps. Rather than have to arrange direct 1:1 swaps however we might use a voucher system so that you get a voucher for any work you do, which you can then redeem with anyone else on the list. That way even if one person is massively in demand, they in turn will end up with a pile of vouchers and loads of pampering!
One snag we need ideas to get around is the problem of venue cost. What do we do about the possible difference in costs with venues? Should we ask the person asking for therapy to pay the cost of the venue? Or can we arrange this at a venue who might provide a fixed rate for us all in return for the business?
The other snag mentioned was where people have different ideas about the value of their therapies. I suggest we consider the voucher for a length of time of care and therapy, and not get into inter-therapy politics. After all if anyone has a problem with time swap then perhaps the scheme is not for them.
PLEASE throw up ideas and help us get this off the ground :)
Denise will be posting re: the directory since this has become her mini-project :)
Cheers
Stuart
Hi Stuart and Denise
Apologies for not letting you know I wouldn't be at Sunday's meeting. I use a room in my house and consultation takes between one and one and a half hours. If medicines are prescribed, cost would be £7 to £14 a week on average. I think vouchers are a good idea.
