Volunteer Complementary Therapist for Carmondean Connected (Deans, Livingston)
Cancer Support Scotland are looking for a Volunteer Complementary Therapist to be based in Carmondean Connected, Deans, Livingston.
We are looking for someone with an HNC or HND in Complementary Therapies or 3 Complementary Therapy certificates (e.g. massage/reflexology/reiki) to provide 3 x 45 minute appointments. Ideally these appointments will be on a Tuesday 1pm-4pm to coincide with the Macmillan drop-in service.
We will reimburse all public travel expenses (25p per mile for petrol) pay for your Disclosure/PVG certificate, provide you with a uniform, resources such as oils and offer a £5 weekly allowance for laundry. While volunteering with us you will also be covered by our insurance.
Cancer Support Scotland offer free counselling, complementary therapy and support to anyone affected by cancer including family members and carers. Our partnership with Macmillan Cancer Support sees us operate these services in 9 areas of Glasgow, Argyll & Bute, Renfrewshire and we are now extending into West Lothian in the East of Scotland.
Our main centre is based in Gartnavel Hospital in Glasgow's West End. Prior to beginning with us we will provide you with 2.5 Induction sessions which will include Cancer Awareness and providing Complementary Therapy for people affected by cancer.
