Exeter Torbay and District - Meeting Notes (19.01.2011) & News Update
MAILOUT FROM DISTRICT CO-ORDINATOR EXTER TORBAY AND DISTRICT CTHA NETWORK.
Hi Everyone.
Many thanks to those of you who braved the cold winter evening to attend the meeting last night.
Special thanks to Louise Wood who spoke and demonstrated the purpose and use of Crystals in complementary healthcare. I know I speak for everyone who attended when I say what an informative, enjoyable and inter-active meeting it was. The time seemed to fly, always an indicator of how good something is.
We are very fortunate in our area to have people willing to provide such tremendous support. Louise in particular has a very long journey to attend our meetings and is one of the most regular attendees. So I hope you will join me in expressing deep gratitude and admiration for her efforts.
On a slightly more worrying note, those of you who were there could not fail to observe that one of our visitors, Roz, was taken ill towards the conclusion of the meeting.
I am pleased to tell you that I have just heard, at 10.00.am this morning, and an update at 1.00.pm this afternoon, that she is much recovered.
She did refuse Paramedic intervention, but was driven home, and one of our members stayed with her until very late to ensure she was alright.
I will not name those who helped, but may I just thank you very much for helping, supporting and treating this lovely lady, who is full of praise for you all, and wishes to pass on her thanks for a memorable and enjoyable meeting, and for the help she was shown. Thank you all!
I hope those involved will forgive me posting this on our local forum, but I do feel this exemplifies what we complementary healthcare professionals stand for, and how our sector goes that extra mile beyond what we may expect from the statutory health sector.

Well, Saturday 22nd January, your Treasurer and I, together with invited South West Co-Ordinators are meeting with CThA Chairman Kush Kumar, and our Regional Co-Ordinator Angela Lewis.
If anyone has a question, issue or concern they wish to be aired at this meeting, I will need to hear from you by 5.00.pm tomorrow, 21st January.

Finally, to our members and those interested, may I remind you that our next meeting is on Wednesday 23rd February 2011. From 7.00.pm at the St.Sidwell Centre, Sidwell Street, Exeter.
The speaker will be Anna Maria Mazzieri. Director of The Massage Clinic and Training College, Exmouth. She will examine various professional qualifications and speak to us about optimizing our business potential.
