GROUP MEETING WEDNESDAY 19TH JANUARY 2011 - NEWS - DATES FOR 2011 MEETINGS

Happy 2011 to you all. We trust that you all had a wonderful Christmas in spite of the weather and economy.
Well another new year and time to plan our meetings and activities.
I give below dates and venues for all planned meetings for the year, but first;
Our first meeting will take place at the St.Sidwell Centre, Exeter on Wednesday 19th January 2011 commencing at 7.00.pm for 7.30.pm.
I am delighted to announce that our speaker will be our own Louise Wood. Louise is a multi-discipline therapist and great supporter of our network.
She will speak and demonstrate the use of crystals in healing. This will be a very informative and largely inter-active hands on evening which I know you will not only enjoy, but will take benefit from.
I know it's January and cold and damp out there, but do please try to make this evening a great success by coming along.

OUR FUTURE
Last year we tried to vary meeting dates and also offer meetings in the southern part of our area. It has to be said that thus far this has not proved a success, although I know some of you much prefer not travelling into Exeter.
However, the attendance was very poor, which when coupled with the cost of room hire and speakers, resulted in the depletion of precious finances.
Just for now, (this could change if there is member energy) I have scheduled all 2011 meetings at the St.Sidwell Centre in Exeter.
Again, appreciating that members have commitments on differing days of the week, last year we tried to vary the days we met. This resulted in confusion and inconsistency.
Knowing this will not, indeed cannot, suit all members, I have scheduled all meetings on WEDNESDAY evenings for the coming year.
This does not mean that additional dates are precluded, and does not mean they are set in stone.
However, giving all these dates now will enable you to get them into your diaries, and hopefully allow you to attend as many meetings as possible.

NOTE:- Two meetings in November to avoid the Christmas Rush.

NEWS
On Saturday 22nd January 2011, with your committee treasurer, I am meeting with the Regional co-ordinator Angela Lewis, and, CThA Chairman Kush Kumar. The other co-ordinators in the South West Region have also been invited, including Vivien Fishwick from the former Mid Devon group (Some of her former members attended our last meeting). This meeting results from lack of clarity in relation to the role of the regional Co-Ordinator.
If you have any issues you wish to be raised at this meeting, then please email these to me at least 3 working days prior to the meeting.
I will report back after the meeting.
