Phonic FM Interview Opportunity - Wed 14 July 12-2pm
As talked about previously, I've recently joined a team of presenters on Phonic FM - www.phonic.fm - who take it in turn on a roster system to co-present on a weekly health, wellbeing and sustainable living magazine show called the "Wellbeing and Transition Show".
I'm going to be responsible for and am currently in the process of putting together and hosting an edition of this show which will go out live next Wednesday 14th July 2010 between noon and 2pm. I'm posting this message out to invite people who would be interested in being interviewed about their areas of interest and expertise in alternative and complementary health and/or coming into the studio to take part in live on-air discussion segments. Obviously a great opportunity to promote yourself as well as informing the wider public about what we all do and how it can fit in with the show's theme of wellbeing and transition through sustainable living practices.
There are a number of ways we can approach this. The easiest would probably be to turn up in person in time for the show at the Phonic FM studios which are located in the basement of the Phoenix Arts Centre in Gandy Street in Exeter city centre. Alternatively, you could phone in during the show and we can put you live on air which is also easy from my point of view, advance notice would be appreciated though especially if you're after a significant bit of air time to get your message across.
The studio phone number is:
01392 434577
We also read out emails live on air as they come through to the studio, so if you wanted to email in during the show, you can do so at the time to:
studio@phonic.fm
Another alternative would be for us to record an interview by some means and then have this recording played back on air. I can certainly think of a way of doing this without any of us having to leave our homes if you have Skype set-up on your computer!
You can listen to the station on the internet by go to the main website at www.phonic.fm and clicking on the listen button at the top right of the page or by typing the following address into your web browser:

The show has a Facebook page here...

P.S. They'll be more chances in the future with more advance notice should the timing not be convenient at this juncture.
P.P.S. I'll be at Quest (Newton Abbot Racecourse) this Friday 9th July, see you there if you're going to be there too. :o)

Hi Henry,
I was interviewed at Phonic fm back in June by Deborah on the Arterial show. I highly recommend it! It was great fun and it is a wonderful way to help spread the word about our therapies.
Wishing you great success with the show.
Kind regards,
Louise Woods

Hi Louise,
Thanks for your reply! You wouldn't by any chance fancy coming along again this Wednesday (if you're free) to do another demo and talk spot for your therapies on Phonic?
Henry.
Hi Henry,
Thanks for the offer - sorry can't make it this time.
Kind regards,
Lou
I have now managed to get hold of the sound files for the show that Keith and I did on Wednesday. I have posted up a playback link up on the Facebook CThA Exeter Torbay & District group page and it can be either played back directly from the page or downloaded, whichever way you prefer:
http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=21294599606
Alternatively, if you don't have a Facebook account, you can still listen and download both the 1st and 2nd hours of the show from the links posted up on this page:
http://www.facebook.com/isca.therapies
The first hour only of the show is where I interview Keith.
For the rest of the group who may be interested in coming on the show to do an interview spot, following our show's planning meeting on Thursday, I currently only have 1 definite show which I will be hosting on next and therefore the spot on the 18th of August is up for grabs. Plus there are 2 other "provisional" dates:
4th August - Provisional
18th August
1st September - Provisional
The "provisional" dates are ones on which I am on standby to co-present a show, should one of the other presenters who is scheduled to do it as the main candidate not be able to make it. Not sure how much notice there will be, but if anyone is definitely interested in going on the show on one of the dates marked "provisional" I can pass details on to get the affirmative go ahead asap, it just means that it might not be me who is in the studio should the interview be agreed to be scheduled on that particular show!
More dates and opportunities to arise for the period October thru March (2011), which will be agreed upon at the next scheduling meeting on September 9th.
Any questions or clarification needed, just post a reply here or contact me directly (see below).
Cheers,
Henry.
