Cold calling - selling 'personal accident insurance'
I have now received the second call trying to sell me personal accident insurance from a lady who is not English and the phone number is not registered.
If you get one - say you will go and fetch the person, then leave the telephone for 10 mins!
If anyone is approached in this way and they do feel that they would like the cover please ensure that the company is authorised by the Financial Services Authority and that they will allow cancellation within 14days if the policy is not suitable. Payment should not be made over the phone.
