How soon can I massage my client's back after his keyhole surgery and any precautions or treatment adjustments needed. Kind regards Jane

Hi Jane, Our Subject Matter Experts have responded with the following. Before treatment it is advised that medical, GP or Specialist permission should be sort and in circumstances where written medical permission cannot be obtained the client must sign an informed consent stating that the treatment and its effects have been fully explained to them and confirm that they are willing to proceed without permission from their GP or Specialist It might be worth checking the following websites GCMT @ www.gcmt.org.uk and CNHC @ www.cnhc.org.uk for further information. Regards, CThA

Hi Jane I am treating one of my regular clients who has had the same procedure. His surgeon advised him that as soon as it was healed and he felt comfortable lying prone on the couch he could have treatment. He has had no problems since resuming treatment. Jenny
