Working at health clubs

Hi. I would be interested to hear from anyone who has experience of working within a health/fitness club setting through either being employed or renting a room. Any comments anyone ?

I rent a room at a local health and fitness club. I work on a self-employed basis, paying them each week for a set time slot. I have to pay whether I use the full slot or not including any holiday weeks. I do my own marketing, but they provide a receptionist to make my appointments. I have to take my own cash/cheque payments, I am not allowed to use their credit card facility. They will, however, put my brochures, flyers, posters etc. up around the club. Hope this helps. Feel free to ask any questions!

Dear Julie Thanks for the info. One other question I have is have you found that you are usually busy and has it generated new clients for you ? Brenda
