Speaker: Joana Pedrosa is a practitioner of the EMMETT Technique, Bowen Therapy and Fascia Bowen. These techniques are integrated in a holistic way to combat pain and discomfort, ease stress and restore balance. She has a special interest in people suffering from autoimmune conditions, infertility and pain during pregnancy. Joana is also a Easy Muscle Management instructor (EMM-Tech). Joana has other interests in health and wellbeing that include the use of essential oils and Far Infrared technologies to facilitate healing and complement her clinic in London.
The EMMETT Technique: is a unique body therapy created by Ross Emmett – a very experienced practitioner based in Queensland, Australia.
The EMMETT Technique is based on the belief that light touch can trigger a relaxation response in the soft tissue of the body, and the therapist may help relieve tensions resulting in feelings of improved comfort within the body. It has been suggested that the body reacts in a similar way to the workings of a touch-screen. Small sensors allow access to the brain via the therapists’ touch. As well as the ability to directly influence muscle action, these points may have a memory and emotional attachment.
It may be enjoyed by people of all ages, from babies to the elderly. Many people find they feel more at ease within their body and emotional well-being is enhanced.
