Client confidentiality is about protecting the information about the client that a therapist may be given. This includes information such as personal details, date of birth, address, life style, medical conditions, current prescription medication as well as conversations that the client may have with the therapist. It is imperative that a client feels safe that any information shared with a therapist is not shared with anyone else without the clients consent. The only exception to this may be for a legal reason. It is part of our code of conduct so is imperative it is adhered to.
