Hi there, When is pregnancy contraindicated? My client is six weeks pregnant and would like a swedish massage. Many thanks for your help. Sammy

Hi This is a grey area as the client tells you every thing is well with the pregnancy. You like to do the treatment but the first 12 weeks is a crucial time. As miscarriages can naturally happen up to this time. The massage / oils can be all fine with no side effects but in todays world if a miscarriage happened close to the date of the treatment then a law suit could point towards you. So myself I stay clear until after 14 weeks and talking to other therapist they have similar response. Hope this helps. Maggi from Sunny Axminster
