Core Curriculum and legal framework
I am currently studying ITEC diploma in Complementary therapies and stuck and these points:
How complementary theraphies work in core curriculum
Legal framework within Complementary therapist operates
Relationship to National Occupational standards
ITEC has mapped to National Occupational Standards where they exist and any appropriate Core Curricula. ITEC has ensured that best practice in the workplace has been reflected in the syllabus. ITEC has also linked the qualification to the relative job roles as well as ensuring that the syllabus reflects the required level of knowledge and ability for the therapist at Level 3.
Professional body membership and insurance
Professional indemnity and public liability insurance can be obtained via the Complementary Therapy Association (CThA) and other industry associations who recognise the ITEC Diploma. It also enables graduates to join national registers maintained by voluntary regulatory bodies in the Complementary Therapy sector.
