effective

Hello there, i would like to ask why the word 'Complimentary' is used before Therapies. To compliment what exactly? Allopathic medicine? If so, i'm puzzled, as from my experience Allopathic 'medicine' rarely acknowledges the natural ability of the body to heal itself, whereas the true Holistic approach involves little else. I would be very grateful if someone would be kind enough to enlighten me on this subject. Thanking you in advance, Sebastian
