How can you become a member of the CTha and why?

Hello I am a Massage Therapist. I have 5 years experience in Acupressure mobile chair massage. I have been working for several companies who specialise in events and office wellbeing. I just came across a friend/colleague who said that his new client was asking for a Ctha membership from him to work at his exhibition. Basically, my question is can I become a member? I have Itec anatomy and physiology certificate and my chair massage certificate. I also have insurance with The Guild which costs 85 pounds a year. Also why do you need a Ctha membership if you already have insurance? Thank you for your time, Monika Lacina
