How To Treat Sports Injuries


DATE: 8th and 9th of September 2012 VENUE: Dereham Norfolk Accreditation: FHT and Sports Therapy Organisation This two day course would be most suitable to those therapists with a sports massage qualification. My courses are designed to teach real practical skills that you will use in your own practice. By the end of the course you will understand the main reasons for developing an injury, how to approach treating the injury, and learn homeworkable exercises for your client. Some of the more common injuries seen will be discussed, eg plantar fasciitis, muscle tears, achilles tendinitis, anterior knee pain, low back pain. I will introduce to you 3Dimensional stretching to the main muscle groups,and functional exercises that are much more accurate in there ability to spead up strengthening and the healing process. I will show you how to use foot orthotics and when to use them, plus useful taping techniques for common problems. A Certificate is awarded at the end. Dear Lisa, The cost of the two day course is £220. A deposit of £80 is required to secure a place. I only take 6 participants on a course here, allowing for almost one on one tuition. If you would like to attend, I can send you an accommodation list. Yours sincerely Cameron Reid www.cameronreid.com

Hi Cameron, I have recently qualified in level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage and feel I need a lot more knowledge and understanding in this subject and really want to progress, do you think the course will be beneficial to me? and how many spaces do you have available and what times does the course run to and from on these 2 days , kind regards Lisa Turner

Dear Lisa, I only accept 6 participants on this course. It will help you enormously. The courses will teach you how to work work out the origin of an injury. New and workable assessment approaches to help you isolate the problem and work out why it started in the first place. I will show you rehabilitation exercises for your clients, how and why they work.
