Acupuncture Training - Broomhill Sheffield
Hi
Has anyone trained in Acupuncture in the Sheffield area? I'm looking into it myself and have come across a company www.biccom-college.com and wondered if anyone had trained with them? The site doesn't exactly look up to date and I have a 'feeling'!
I had to google to find the phone number which brings up a practicioner Rupert something or other. I called but it was his answerphone- will try again in a bit.
Any information welcome!

Just read some print on the site that says there is an agent/administration fee of £888 for each course!

Personally, I would research this in a solution-focussed way! i.e. work out what you need first, then find who can supply it, that should negate any unsatisfactory 'providers'.
As this is the Sheffield area, I might be inclined to contact Westfield Health and ask them what minimum qualifications are required / who they approve for recognised claims under their Health Scheme. That way, if you do train, you can ensure you are working to the best guidelines and ultimately potentially getting a strong source of income.

I would definitely research the company first before parting with any money. There must be some register for acupuncture practitioners you could check and the advice to check with Westfield is a must. Good luck with it all.
Thanks for the advice. There only seems to be a few places that does it in the country according to the accupuncture council, the nearest being York. I think it will have to go on hold at the moment as I don't have the capacity to take time out of work to study in York unfortunatley.
I'm actually nearer Barnsley so I've not heard of Westfield Park before but I will check it out.
