Tayforth - various

For those of you who haven't as yet joined the Aromatherapy Consortium, their latest newsletter contains important new information about Labelling of Blends/Labelling requirements for aromatherapists; Possible Future for Regulation of CAM - and the effect on multi-disciplinary therapists in particular. Their website is www.aromatherapy-regulation.org.uk I'm still waiting for names and details of speakers for next year (you now have the dates of our meetings!). I don't want to end up organising speakers, or doing most of the speaking myself - as I did last year! Seriously, if things don't look up this year, I plan to merge the group with Edinburgh, disband it altogether, or ask another member to take over. It's so disappointing that in all of Fife, Perth and Dundee, we can only get the support of 6 members (myself included) - if we're lucky. Most often, it's about 3 or 4. For those of you interested in CPD courses, Embody Glasgow and Embody Edinburgh (both of which have a more supportive and proactive membership) run quite a few across all complementary therapy disciplines. You'll need to look up the Embody Website to contact the respective Coordinators for details. Also, the SIR (Scottish Institute of Reflexology) run courses throughout the year. Their web address is www.scottishreflexology.org Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Mariette
