Tayforth's future

The Volunteer Centre, Kirkcaldy, will be charging for room use from 10 October 2005 (no mention of rates yet but I reckon it won't be cheap) and are also asking for public liability insurance. I will investigate the latter with Embody/Pat Terry. If we decide to continue meeting there, we will have to raise the attendance fee to cover costs (hopefully, not more than £5 each per meeting).
However, given the poor support and low numbers attending meetings, Yvonne Morrison has very kindly offered the use of her home (no cost) in Garvock Hill, Dunfermline. She can comfortably accommodate 10 and, at a squeeze, possibly a few extra bodies. This is also a more convenient venue for our Perth and Dundee members. Are there other venue offers from Tayforth members? If so, please let me know.
Finally, I've floated the idea of merging with the Embody Edinburgh group from next year. Obviously, it is good to have a group but not if it isn't supported. The Edinburgh meetings at held on a Saturday, at the Leith Academy in Leith, and attendance is normally £5. Check out their forum for details. They are a larger group and the meetings better attended.
There is also a group in Glasgow (Caledonian) - in case anyone wishes to go to their courses.
The Tayforth meeting in September (10am-12pm) will go ahead as planned, at the Volunteer Centre, Kirkcaldy (do check the Embody Tayforth Members Forum page for up to date information about meetings etc on a regular basis) and I will give a talk on Tuina. We will also make time to discuss the future of the group. Please let me know whether or not you will be attending this meeting.
